My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amos is a 5-year-old neutered male yellow lab. Amos weighs 61 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

DESCRIPTION:

UPDATE: February 8, 2020: Amos is settling in well. He's decided that playing fetch is fun and he also loves to walk around carrying his stuffed toy. He's super well-behaved, crate trained, house trained, doesn't beg for food or jump up. His favorite places are under the piano, in his crate, or in the walk-in closet, but he wants to be where he can see/hear his humans. Amos is food motivated and takes treats gently, which has helped when encouraging him to try new things. He loves going for a walk and does well with the EZ Walk harness. With the EZ Walk harness, he doesn't pull, corrects easily, and it helps him to walk forward rather than in circles. Amos appreciates pets and snuggles, putting his head in your lap or hands.

February 7, 2020: Amos is super sweet and is still adjusting to life in a house with people who love him. But he's doing great! He is comfortable in his crate or sheltered under the piano, but he's starting to learn that there's fun and snuggles when he ventures in the house or out in the yard. Amos likes to fetch. https://youtu.be/02f1w8z9eTY He also likes to carry around stuffed toys. Amos is so sweet and gentle, and needs a patient forever family to help him continue to come out of his shell.

February 6, 2020: Amos is adjusting to being in a home. He's decompressing from all of the vets, transport and changes, so he's a bit timid right now. He's super sweet and gentle, and he wags his tail when humans approach. Amos knows how to go up and down stairs, but is a little hesitant since it's all new to him. He needs some time to adjust and to learn what it means to be safe and loved in a home. He's adorable and he has super soulful big brown eyes. Just look at his smile! Amos hasn't had any accidents in the house and he's getting used to walking with an EZ Walk harness. He doesn't pull but is super curious about the new neighborhood. Amos is a handsome boy with so much potential in the right forever home!

Jan. 29, 2020: Amos was found as a stray and therefore, we have little information on him. However, he gets along with other dogs and is very sweet. More information to come when he gets into a foster home.
