My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this beautiful girl named Zaleah! She originally came into the shelter January 28, 2020 when her owner could no longer keep her. She was just a puppy 10 months old. She’s been adopted and returned February 2022 after she killed some chickens and could no longer stay. She is 3 years old, current on shots, spayed, house broken and just a love. She loves to run and play fetch with a tennis ball and would love a home with a tall privacy wood fenced in yard for her to play in. She can climb and jump a chain link fence. Her owner said she does not like being crates and will escape so not to bother with a crate for her. Such a cutie with so much happiness and love to offer. She has been around kids and has been good but is very playful. At once she lived with another pup but can be selective with canines. She’s been stressed at the shelter so we haven’t socialized her there. Might you have the perfect FOREVER home for Zaleah?! She will share kisses and a lifetime of unconditional love if you give her a chance. a real sweetheart! Stop by for a visit with her today!
If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance.
The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.
