My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dustin! He just arrived at CARE last week. Out of his whole litter he stands out from the rest with his beautiful chestnut coloring and calm hazel eyes. Dustin is currently in a foster home learning all about life with a family while the CARE team searches for a forever one for him. Dustin is from a large litter of 9 puppies, we dont know much about his past because he was left at the shelter in a plastic tub without any parents. We were told his mom was a Chihuahua blend but are unsure of the father, because of his current size we think Dustin will be medium size when he is full grown. If you think Dustin is meant to be part of your family and you are interested in learning more and speaking with his adoption coordinator and foster mom to learn more about him please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt.

This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $850 covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and air transport. Please email Emily at adoptions@caretx.org if you have any question.

* CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation.
