Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Fritz, a 3 yr old, 3 legged dog. He is a gorgeous regal, 70 pound Shepherd/Husky mix. Fritz was surrender to the shelter with an injured leg. His "owner" stated he was hit by a car. Unfortunately his vet tried several ways to save his leg but ultimately the nerve damage was too severe and an amputation was required. He has touched many hearts along the way to his road to PWD.
From his foster mom: Fritz is a sweet, friendly fellow. He likes it when you hug him and he likes belly rubs. He is also a leaner. He will nudge your hand if he thinks you should be petting him. He is very good going in his kennel at night. He always does his business outside. He gets around so good on his three legs. He is fast! Fritz is good around other dogs and cats. He likes females better than males for some reason but he is never aggressive. He loves to lay down beside you and just hang out with you. Every time he sees you he comes to meet you and wags his tail. Fritz does sometimes like to tear up blankets and leashes so don't leave them where he can get them. We gave him a Kong toy with peanut butter in it and he loved it! He is a sweet, handsome, good boy that will steal your heart!
From his vet's tech- " I absolutely adore him, and I miss him so much. He was at my vet clinic and was spoiled rotten by me,. He deserves the BEST home!"
Fritz came to PWD and has settled nicely. His foster mom described him the best and he exhibits all the great qualities of a German shepherd. He is active, intelligent, loves to run even with 3 legs and he is a leaner! He is a bit cautious with new people but within seconds he warms up and is absolutely fine! He will be a great companion dog to one lucky person or family!
