My story

Roo is a delightfully playful yet gentle 32-lb golden male lab/retriever mix who is eager to show what an amazing companion he can be for that just right person or family. Approximately 2 years old, he is quick to make new doggy friends, but can be very timid and shy around new people---just give him his space to warm up to you and soon he will be nose bumping your legs and tugging on your pants to say hello. Playful with his other foster doggy siblings, Roo LOVES the company of other dogs, and enjoys being outside as much as he can, happy to sun himself, chew on a bone, or play chase. During his time with his foster family, he’s learned to use a doggy door, is housebroken, and is learning how to walk on a leash. He would be a perfect furbuddy for another dog, female or male around his same size. Curiously playful yet sweet-tempered, Roo is ready to work his way into your heart and home.
