Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marty is a loving and sweet 17 lbs Pug / Chihuahua mix who loves people! He’s almost 7 years old (in April) and has a big fun personality. He’s a very curious dog who loves to watch you in the kitchen just in case you drop something by accident – you never know 🙂
He loves to snuggle and will find all the sun slivers to sunbathe in. He is fully house trained, good with all people and has had some shorter interactions with children with no issues.
He doesn’t love other dogs as much as he loves people. Although he likes running around at off-leash parks and sniffing about, he can sometimes get snappy at other dogs. He’s been in several dog daycares and will get along with dogs overall. So if you already have a dog, he would welcome the company.
His energy level is medium, he still likes his walks and getting out but he also lazies around all day and likes to curl up into the comfiest spots. If you allow him on the couch, he will snuggle right up to you!
Marty would be best suited towards someone who works from home or is retired, or who is home often, as he doesn’t like being left alone. He will anxiously get into things when you leave the house, and so we found leaving him in a confined, safe space is best when you’re gone. He doesn’t do well in enclosed crates, but he is fully house trained and won’t have any accidents if left for long stretches of time.
He is healthy and not on any medications, and he’s up to date on all vaccinations. He eats Pulsar Brand dry food – about 1/3 cups twice a day. He is extremely food driven and will do almost anything for a treat…including all the tricks he knows like sit, lay down, paw, & high-five.
We hope you can love him as much as we have and that he brings you so much joy and love as he did with us for almost 7 years!
