Hello, I live in Anaheim with our home backing up to the Santa Ana River. I run on the river trails constantly and I see animals, mostly cats, but a few domestic rabbits. I am constantly amazed, and saddened to see the animals that are left there. One special guy is a cat that we named Rio. He was exceptionally friendly and sweet, and we fed him for about a year, twice a day. He basically became ours. At one point I noticed he was limping badly and when I held him I could see his leg had a wound and was badly infected. At that point we had to help him. I caught him and we took him to the Vet who did surgery. He said he would have lost his leg or died had we not brought him in. While there we had him neutered and given all of his shots. $1100 later we took him home with us for him to recuperate with the intention that he would be ours forever. He is very sweet to us but can be a little aggressive with our two dogs and cat so we think best as an 'only pet'. Shannen & Jim
