Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Apple is an elderly little mostly deaf tabby cat who needs a calm home where she can sleep in the sun or in a cozy cat bed. Our best estimate is 14+ years old. She loves her canned food and purrs loudly when being petted, and would be a good companion for someone looking for the opposite of a curtain-climbing kitten! It may takes her a week or so to bond and settle in, but she is doing wonderfully at her foster home, except that foster mom's cats won't let her join them in the rest of the house so she sits in her room and hollers for foster mom to visit her. She is the perfect companion for someone who is retired or works from home.
She is spayed and current on vaccines and flea and worm prevention, micro-chipped, had a negative combo test, and her general blood work looks great (no thyroid problems found). She's had a thorough dental cleaning and a few bad teeth removed, and is good to go!
She would be perfectly fine as an only cat, but can be with other cats if they will leave her alone and not pick fights or bully her. She needs an indoor-only home and we require the adopter have a cat carrier for safe transport.
We are willing to do a permanent foster arrangement with Apple for someone in or near Athens, GA. This means you would have her at your home and pay for her food and litter, but we will cover vet care at our vet (within reasonable limits).
We do not have an adoption fee but do ask for a donation of your choice.
