My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BROS FOR LIFE! Hi I'm Bear! Not like a big scary bear, like a cuddly kiss you all over type bear. I was born in the woods with my brother Brick until the man who was feeding us took us to a shelter. It was scary but as long as I had Brick with me, I was alright. We did end up on death row but we were lucky because a nice lady rescued us and they are trying to keep us together. They did put us in separate kennels away from each other for a bit but we both got so sad and depressed that after a while, they put us right back together. When I saw him I actually jumped for joy, ran over to him full speed and played with him until I couldn't stand anymore.. I just love him and if you ever had a BFF you know what I mean. Brick and I are happy guys who love to play and be with people. We love other dogs and kids. Brick is kind of submissive and takes his cues from me. He's lost with out me. Did I mention we kind of look like twins but I have a white streak on my snout and he don't. We really would miss each other a lot if we were split up so I'm hoping someone with a really big heart let's us stay together. BEAR is a VERY sweet, happy, well adjusted and well socialized guy! He is very friendly and accepting of other dogs, even when he was barked at (in an unfriendly manner) he just walked away to the next dog! He was fine with the cats, just sniffed at them and walked away - even when he saw one running across the parking lot outside! He was very playful and loving towards people, and more than happy to crawl into an empty lap and roll over for a belly rub! I think he would have fallen asleep there if I would have kept it up! He was very free with his kisses too! BRICK s a bit more submissive than his brother, and always drops to the ground when approaching others, but is SO happy to be there! He was tough to check with others in the shelter, so we let him meet the shelter manager's dog and he loved her immediately! He was good with the cats, but a little TOO playful and wanted to chase them when they ran. Also very loving.
