My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasmine is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), female.

As gentle as they come and extremely sensitive, Jasmine can be a little hesitant when presented with unfamiliar situations but her friendly, inquisitive nature makes it impossible for her to play coy for long. Once confident and knowing all is well – she warms up quickly. Definitely liking attention, she will readily approach people to give and receive affection when she feels comfortable; and with a few soft-spoken words of encouragement she will become quite engaging. Jasmine also really enjoys having her coat brushed, and she loses all inhibition when the petting begins.

An extremely sweet-natured, mostly easy-going, always endearing and entirely easy-to-please cat – she is also a committed snuggler who is social, warm-hearted, and enthusiastically affectionate with people and other felines she knows and trusts. Not a girl who wants to stand idly by and watch activities from afar, she is happy-to-be-present and will want to be wherever her people are or where she thinks the action is.

Always animated and very beautiful, Jasmine is straight-up a faithfully devoted people-cat who will make a great companion and pet.

Jasmine is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle. A friendly and social cat, she’ll need some adjustment time to warm-up and adjust to her new surroundings. Jasmine gets along well with other compatible cats and kittens, and she’s comfortable and at-ease with calm, cat-friendly dogs who respect her space as well as with respectful children of any age. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.

Mom to adoptable litter of kittens, Mulan, Mushu, Baloo, Dory, and Fidget, Jasmine came to Monroe SPCA from animal control, pregnant and sick with as URI along with a number of parasites including worms and fleas. Now a healthy, happy cat, she’s looking for a forever family who will welcome and embrace her as a life-long, beloved companion and family member, and always appreciate her for the sweet, gentle soul she is.

Jasmine currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her Tuesday – Thursday, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm; Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm; or by appointment; closed Sunday, Monday, and National Holidays. To start the adoption process for Jasmine complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
