My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** ADOPTION PENDING **

FINIAN

Lone Star Lab Rescue has a new little baby in house! Meet Finian, a beautiful 4 month old boy whose Irish name means "handsome". He is a wonderful snuggler! Finian might have a touch of Weimaraner in his heritage.

Finian is smart and really food motivated. Training this boy should be pretty easy. He already knows the sit command and we are working on leash training. Like any young Labrador, Finian needs a family that is willing to give him the time, exercise and training to be a great companion. Labs don't come well behaved naturally, but they do come with plenty of energy and enthusiasm! Obedience training and crating are essential with young Labs, as well as plenty of the proper food and exercise.

Finian weighs about 30 pounds now and is growing fast! He still has manners to learn. A young Lab will quickly teach you to pick up anything that you don't want customized by Labrador teeth! Puppies explore the world with their mouths, and Finian is no exception.

We are looking for an active family, preferably with a medium to large breed adult dog for Finian to learn from. He also needs a fenced yard for play time and training. As explained on our web site, we will consider placing puppies with kids at least 9 or 10 years old. Lab puppies grow up fast and can be more than little bitty kids can handle in a few short months.

Finian is a bit too young to be neutered, but he has been microchipped and vaccinated. He is already crate trained and house trained. He sleeps through the night and can go about 4-5 hours between potty breaks.

If you live in the DFW area and are interested in adopting this little munchkin, please see our web site at www.LoneStarLabRescue.org Our adoption fee is $395 plus sales tax.
