My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I HAD TO HAVE A CYST REMOVAL AND A BIOPSY, AND NOW MY VETTING COSTS ARE $516.75!! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME??

UPDATED BIO 08/21/2009: Tiffany here. I'm just about to doze off since FM gave me a pain pill.... so, I'll make this quick (hiccup). My name is Tiffany. I am 8 years old and 11 lbs. I was once a stray, but now am getting lots of love in FM's home. She says I'm a little angel and am no bother at all. Well, today I had a pretty bad day, and I'm gonna tell you about it.

Today I had my toofers cleaned. The Dogtor didn't have to take out ANY of them (yippers!). However, when she went to remove my cyst, she found that it was very deep. She had to cut all the muscles in my face and scrape the bone underneath... and then put me back together. UYR agreed to let the Dogtor send biopsies of the cyst to a lab so that we could find out what it was. The vet told FM she doesn't think it's the "C" word, but we're gonna cross our paws just to be sure. I have a little drain in place and have to wear this stupid thing around my pretty face. Good thing FM's a nurse, because I hurt real bad and she's taking special good care of me. She doesn't even mind that I keep dripping blood out of that drain onto the floor (eww) The biopsy and the cyst removal cost lots of money. Do you think you can help me? (yawn) I am gonna go to sleep now. Yorkie kisses. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

UPDATED BIO 8/14/2009: Tiffany is an 8 year old skinny 11 lb Yorkie who was found wandering the streets alone. She was wearing a small name-tag bearing only the name "Tiffany". It just stresses the importance of having each and every owner place identifying information on his or her precious pets. Tiffany spent eight long days and nights in the shelter waiting for someone to claim her. She was finally sprung and has never looked back!

Well, Tiffany has now been microchipped and is wearing a beeeautiful nametag with her foster mommy's information on it. Straying won't be a problem for little Tiff since she doesn't leave foster mom's sight and FM would NEVER let Tiffy out of HERS! Tiffany is an absolute DOLL!! She is getting over a little bout of kennel cough. She's feeling better every day and lets FM know it by giving her gentle kisses whenever she can. Tiffany is also ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT HOUSETRAINED! (Go Tiffany!) She is a very smart little girlie. She takes a joint supplement for her knees but FM hides it in cream cheese! Guess she's not that smart? Just kidding!!

Tiffany is having her toofers cleaned next week and having a cyst removed from her left cheek. The vet does not think it will come back. She is a sweet little girl who wants nothing more than a nice comfy sofa or a warm ray of sun coming into the window to lull her to sleep. She loves going for walks and gets along with dogs, cats, kids, etc. Yorkies live a loooong time, so give this girlie a wonderful life and invite her to share yours. You'll be glad you did!

ORIGINAL BIO 8/6/2009: Meet Tiffany!! Tiffany is an 8 year old 11 lb yorkshire terrier who was found as a stray at an area shelter. She spent 8 lonely days in a cage waiting for her owners to claim her... They never came. Thankfully, UYR was able to save this little princess and give her a chance to find the home she's been dreaming of.

Tiffany's beautiful facial hair was shaved down by the shelter staff so that they could examine the small lump she has under her left eye. We are going to take Tiffany to the vet first thing next week to have it examined and scheduled to be removed. She will need a dental cleaning and will be getting her "hairdo" shortly.

Tiffany appears to be completely housetrained and knows how to "sit." She is a sweet little girlie and loves to go for walks. She gets along with everybody and is just waiting to show you how special she is. More to come when we get to know Tiffany better!
