Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Roxie. I am a 2 year old Shepard-Husky mix. I have one brown eye and one blue eye. When my foster family calls me, I run to them with excitement. I love to feel loved and wanted, and thrive with positive attention. I enjoy chewing on my dog toys and like rolling up in a ball in my crate for long naps. My favorite thing to do is cuddle with my human on the couch and lick them! I had a rough start to life, and was most likely abused. Although I love running and jumping, my back legs are weak and I have a muscle deformity. This vulnerability makes me feel scared, and I’ve been known to growl and snap at others when I perceive a threat or my legs hurt. I would do best in a home with a backyard so I can run and explore, with a human who can be a kind and put me in my place when needed. I need to be in a home with no young children (teenagers only will be considered) and no other pets (unless they’re fish!) If you have family or friends over, just tell me to go “home” and I will happily relax in the safety of my crate for their visit. I would be a perfect companion for someone who has patience and a big heart for abused animals. I am in the market for a new best friend, who can give me a comfortable life and many good years ahead. In return, I will give you my utmost loyalty and devotion. I just want to have a family to call my own. Could that family be you?
