My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SVETLANA is considered SPECIAL NEEDS because she has an issue with ongoing discharge from her nose. Svetlana is sweet and loving and has had this problem since she was very young and had an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI). Svetlana never recovered fully from the URI and because of this, she continually has discharge from her nose. Certain antibiotics can help control this discharge if there is a flare-up. She has been scoped and flushed and has even “lived” at Paws & Claws for an extended period of time while being treated with antibiotics, but nothing eliminates this discharge completely. Saline nasal drops can also help and certain “triggers” like STRESS make it worse.

SVETLANA needs a stable, quiet home where she is LOVED and her discharge should be minimal. There is no proof that she is contagious to other cats or dogs or to people. She is one of the most loving cats you’ll ever meet and just needs someone who understands her medical needs and isn’t bothered by having to care for this amazing SPECIAL NEEDS cat. Svetlana absolutely loves to burrow under blankets while she sleeps -- the more the merrier.

Adoption fee is $80 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, current on vaccines, dewormed, free vet visit within 5 days of adoption. Felv/FIV negative.
