My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Maeve was found running on the street with an injured leg and cuts and scrapes. She was caught by animal control and was impounded but no one ever came to claim her. We are not sure what happened to her but she was likely hit by a car. No one wanted this poor girl and she was going to be euthanized so we saved her. Maeve was seen by our vet, x-rays taken and she had a fracture to her elbow. She had surgery to repair the fracture on Jan 15th and will be all good in no time. She needs another surgery around March 11th to remove the surgical pins in her elbow. She has also been fully vetted. Maeve is about one year old, weighs 40 pounds and is very sweet and friendly with people. She is a little apprehensive with some dogs but does fine with calm dogs. She has met cats and did fine with them but is curios. She will need someone experienced with dogs to help navigate her strong personality and to acclimate her to dogs and cats. She has been around kids 11 years and up but we are not sure how she would do with toddlers/young children. Maeve will need an experienced and active home and someone who has the time to continue her training. Please give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves. We are also looking for a foster home near the San Pedro area as that is where her vet appointments are at.
