My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings and Salutations!

I’m, Fatboy Slim! My foster family has just been calling me, Fatboy. They’re rude! I’m just big boned. All my thick bones have me weighing in at 39lbs. And I’m only around 4 1/2 months old. That’s strictly water weight and big bones though, it has nothing to do with how much I like treats (that’s a lie, shhhh, I don’t want to talk about it).

I’m just your typical, happy puppy. I’m about 1% pit, 1% lab and 98% derp. Those results haven’t been verified by any reputable companies though. Who cares what I am, I’m cute and sweet and that’s all that matters.

Like your usual puppy, I need potty training, crate training and I’ll need to learn what is and isn’t acceptable to chew on. I still have all my tiny, sharp baby teeth so if I nibble, it can hurt.

I’ve already started to get the concept that people like when I pee outside. One crazy lady makes all these weird happy sounds and gives me chicken. Chicken makes me happy so I keep peeing outside. You should see what she does when I poop out there. I’m embarrassed for her.

I’m pretty noisy in my crate but now that I’ve been in it a few times, I’m already making noise for shorter periods of time. And I slept in it all night, like a champ! With consistency and repetition, I’ll be crate trained in no time!

I’m young enough that I like everyone I meet. I have zero manners though so if I get introduced to dogs, we should go slow. My approach is overwhelming happiness and I must know all about them, immediately. Some dogs think that approach is annoying so for your dog’s sanity, it’s best if you don’t allow me to be all up in their business, too soon. Give them breaks from me so we have long term success.

I really love people and I mostly just follow them around, get under their feet and trip them. I like that game. Watching humans try to catch their balance all while trying not to step on me is quite entertaining. It’s also a bit of a thrill. It’s my own version of puppy Russian roulette. Will this be the fall that smashes my chunky body? Who knows. But I’m willing to find out. My sense of humor may not be for everyone.

If you’re interested in tripping over me in your home, please fill out an application at animalheartline.org and my foster mom will contact you. I’m already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
