Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Daisy Mae!
I was born about 9/1/2015, so I am a tad over 4 years old. I am thought to be a min pin/ chihuahua mix, but this is only a guess. I am about 18 lbs, and am fairly small. I am currently located in Houston, but am about to move to Seattle… but I will be brought to where-ever my forever family lives. I originally was on the streets, when I was young, and I learned to look after myself from a very young age! I was turned into a high kill shelter in Houston, TX, and I barely made it out. The rescue saw me and how sweet I was, when they were pulling my cell mate, and they couldn’t leave me behind thankfully (6/25/2016 I was estimated to be about 9 months old)! The caring rescue, then let me find my new parents and canine brother! I learned the new house rules and made many new friends. That is, until life took us on different paths and I had to say goodbye. Everyone was very, very sad. My past family said they want to be a reference and are available to tell you how great I am. All I want is to belong to a loving family and to show you how well I can behave. I am affectionate, sensitive, clever, house trained, and healthy. In the past I did have what the vet called sand (possible precursor to stones, that were caught early enough and never formed). I have to be on special food for this reason, but since then, I have not had any issues. Wonʼt you consider adopting me so that we can play and snuggle?
From rescue: Her ideal match would be with a female owner (or couple if male is soft spoken and gentle with her and/or gives her time to adapt). Suited for male owner as well but may need time to gain confidence. Homes with other dog(s) would be on a case-by-case basis (small breed and less dominant dog(s) best). Family homes with no small children (ages 1-5 years) recommended, (she was ok with a niece and nephew familiar with pups aged 6-8, but would need monitored of course still) as she may get nervous around very small children. Requires a special urinary diet for the prevention of urinary stones and seasonal allergy medication/injections. Her past family willing to speak directly to anyone interested in gathering more information. She really is a very sweet girl most loving of a good home. Thank you.
Adoption Fee: $300
