My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was hungry, cold and wet. Did I say hungry? That was a month or so ago now, when I stumbled on a group of men deer hunting. They fed and talked to me, but left the woods I was sheltering in. The next day they came back and ended up taking me to a local vet. I spent the week there getting my strength back. I was painfully thin, needed nourishment and medical attention. I even had surgery that guarantees I'll never have a litter of puppies....YAY!!! Trust me this is a good thing.

A group of people from HCW came to get me and named me Reba. This is was the best news, I had always wanted a name and they nailed it. I would arrive at the Lodge, and let me tell you I had no idea life could be this good. It's warm, clean, comfortable (fluffy blankets are amazing), dry and I get to eat twice EVERY day. I have my own door that leads to the outside and I can enjoy the sunshine whenever I want. I've met lots of doggy friends and we get to romp and play everyday. This is truly a great place, but it's time to move on and find my forever family.

So now that you know my past let me tell you more about me and what my future needs. I am a 6 month old, Redbone Coonhound/Bloodhound Blend, because of that sometimes I think with my nose, so I will need a fenced in yard. I was never taught much, so my manners aren't the best, however I'm a fast learner and I LOVE like no other. I'm a people pleaser, social butterfly, and not to toot my own horn but between my beautiful auburn hair and my big floppy ears, I'm quite the catch. I now understand the concept of using the restroom outside, but I'm young and sometimes that slips my mind. If you think you could contend with all of this please send in an application to adopt me. I promise you won't be disappointed.

If you are interested in adding Reba to your family, please go to www.hcwdogrescue.com and complete an application.
