Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Payton is a 3-year-old neutered male black lab. Payton weighs 54 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
MOST RECENT UPDATE: Payton has settled in so easily in his foster home. He has clearly lived in a home with a family. He is completely house trained. He does not counter surf or chew. He loves to be active, but quickly calms down and lays by his humans as they eat or work. He displays his delight at seeing you by shaking his entire body. It is so goofy and sweet. He has obviously not been walked regularly, but after four walks on an easy walk harness, he is not pulling and allows foster mom to walk three dogs with no issues. He is not a fan of dog beds, but he sleeps nicely at night at the foot of foster parents bed. He gets along with all pups including resident dogs, foster moms grand dog and neighborhood dogs.
I bathed him and he was calm and well behaved.
All in all, he is an easy dog. he has great manners, he is calm, but yet young enough to be attractive to people who are not seeking a senior.
UPDATE: Payton is know at the kennel as Mr Wiggles as he is so happy and easy going went to a foster today. When he met the fosters pups all he wanted to do was play with them. If your applicants want a great pup have them come met Payton.
DESCRIPTION:Payton is a great pup who would be very happy to meet you and have you take him to his new home. He was a stray but don't think he was one long as his coat is in good shape, chances are he was dropped off in the country where he was found wandering. He is very friendly and likes to be with you getting attention and enjoys getting his belly rubbed. He will go to a toy that you toss but hasn’t started playing with them yet. He is pretty smart and food oriented, with treats his response was about 1-2 seconds, without treats it was longer (food rules). He would like a family that will give him the exercise and love he deserves.
