My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently in foster care in Olympia, Washington. SNOODLE is most likely a Schnauzer/Poodle mix. He is 1 yr old (we gave him a birthday of Nov 19, 2019... best guess) and 24#s. I consider him full grown. He has a typical Schnauzer personality... sometimes cranky without patience for puppies. He is easy-going and affectionate...but somewhat aloof. He prefers adults. I would not put young children with him. As for cats, he occasionally will chase one of my 10 cats. I wouldn't leave him alone but he ignores them most of the time. The many dogs in the house occasionally get excited and bother the cats and he will join in. He is crate trained and does very well in one. He rides in the car without getting sick and walks well on the leash. We are working on house training...I haven't had an accident in quite awhile.

Snoodle would be a great companion for a single person or a couple. He does get along with other dogs.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you are interested in this pup/dog, please fill out the application (link listed above). The rescue will contact you once the application is received. Although we strive to answer everyone, due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to all emails. Filling out the application is the best way and ensures a response from the rescue. In addition, while you are emailing us, if others apply, you can lose out adopting the dog you chose. We have hundreds and hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. However, if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that. Also, please note that we are almost always holding adoption events on Saturdays at noon at Pet Works in Olympia, Washington if you would like to meet with us in person.

A note about pricing: Puppy adoption fees generally are $495; adult dogs fees generally are $395. However, fees vary depending on the dog/puppy. Some pups/dogs have flexible adoption fees. It can even depend just on the foster availability, if pre adopted, etc.

Our adoption fees cover the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. Additionally, any dogs over 6 months have had a negative heart-worm test. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers and many of us donate 70+ hours/week and thousands/year of our own funds. WA and OR shelters are funded by taxpayers, hence, many have lower adoption fees.

Shayne's rescue is a few foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs that rescues ask us to foster and let those rescues use this site to list those pups/dogs and rehome them. We donate all of our time, food, monies to assist in getting these dogs forever homes. We are not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property, if you will, of the rescue they come from and all paperwork and vet work you will receive when you adopt and it will have all that information for you. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Since worldwide over 1/2 billion puppies/dogs are PTS yearly and over 9,000/day just in U.S. shelters, yes even entire litters of puppies are PTS daily in many US shelters! Hence, we firmly believe there is NO breed other than rescue for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
