My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Lou and I'm 1-year old and weigh just under 60 lbs. I am small for an Akita but that is because my old owners didn't pay attention to me when I was growing up and my collar became embedded in my neck, so I couldn't eat as much as I should have been able to. Even though no one wanted to pay for my surgery the vet saw what a special guy I was and performed my procedure for free. Now I am all better and look tip top! I love everyone at the vet's office but I really need a home to call my own. I am very smart and eager to please. Please meet me and let me wiggle my way into your heart.
