My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently in a trial adoption although we do not know because of the cat. If we do rehome her we will make sure no cats or other animals other than a dog. LILLY is a wonderful dog that came to us VERY scared of everything. She observed for awhile and we handled her and then all of a sudden...she decided she loves the world and everyone in it. She suddenly became our house dog with many other rescue dogs . The fabulous part is...SHE'S HOUSE TRAINED!

Lilly loves toys and hasn't tried escaping out of a short fence. She's absolutely a doll with ears that stand up but then lay back like propellers!!! In searching the net for her "breed" and using my dog scanning application (not for microchips but for breeds), it came up with CAROLINA DOG. A very good breed for being smart, sturdy, healthy....it's a great dog.

We gave Lilly a birthday of 2/28/18...best guess. Lilly is spayed, vaccinated (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchipped, dewormed, heart worm tested NEG and on prevention, and on flea/tick prevention. She is a great family dog. I have not tested her with very small children...but she loves kids to run and play. She is also kenneled trained...to the point that she asks to go in to sleep/nap.

IMPORTANT INFO: If you are interested in this pup/dog, please fill out the application (link listed above). The rescue will contact you once the application is received. Although we strive to answer everyone, due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot guarantee a response to all emails. Filling out the application is the best way and ensures a response from the rescue. In addition, while you are emailing us, if others apply, you can lose out adopting the dog you chose. We have a wide variety of puppies/ dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. However, if you are applying or have applied anywhere else, we do need to know that. Also, please note that we conduct adoption events almost every Saturday at noon at Pet Works in Olympia, Washington. If you would like to meet with us in person, please visit.

SHANYE'S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues to assist them in adoptioning/rehoming of dogs by listing on this site. We donate all volunteers to assist in getting these dogs forever homes. All adoption fees go towards processing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted.

Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include for any dogs over 6 months a negative heart-worm test. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees. We are always in need of good fosters. We are all volunteers who appreciate a good dog and feel they all need a 2nd chance at a good life.

Adoption fees vary ($300 - $800) depending on age, breed, training, behavior, etc. Most are $400-$500). There are no additional fees, surcharges, or taxes added.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. Since worldwide over 1/2 billion puppies/dogs are PTS yearly and over 9,000/day just in U.S. shelters, yes even entire litters of puppies are PTS daily in many US shelters! Hence, we firmly believe there is NO breed other than rescue for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
