My name is Opa and I am an 8 year old Schnauzer. Opa means "Grandpa" in German. When the dog warden picked me up off the city streets, I was in such rough shape and had so much fur that the kind shelter ladies gave me that name. I don't know how I ended up on the streets with no one missing me; but angels certainly were there when Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati came to take me to a foster home.
Since then, so many good things have happened to me. A grooming first of all, and then to the doctor for a checkup as well as a dental....only one tooth pulled! I also had a microchip put in so I never will be lost again! I have six other dogs I love to play with but my favorite thing to do is sleep on the big recliner with my foster Dad....if he is at work, I choose the bed in front of the fireplace! I love car trips, walks on the leash and am starting to learn the doggie doors.
I am hoping to find my forever home....it would be great to have another dog or older kids to play with. I would love to have a fenced yard too....I am not a runner; but on nice days love to roam the yard. If you think I could be a great addition to your family, please fill out an application for me. My fee is only $350. Thank you, Opa
