This amazing mama cat is HERA aka Big Mama. HERA was rescued from an overcrowded shelter when she was very pregnant. Just a few short days after rescue, she gave birth to 5 beautiful babies. She is a truly unique goddess, just like her namesake, and is completely awesome.

She was a wonderful momma to her babies and now that she is spayed, is ready to find a forever home. She LOVES dogs, LOVES kids and people of all ages and gets along great with other cats.

HERA'S foster mom thinks she may have some bengal in her lineage. Aside from her large size, she has a lot of the personality traits of a bengal, including their inquisitive, outgoing personality. She wants to be in the middle of everything. Her foster mom calls her a dog-cat because she truly acts more like a dog than a cat.

While in foster care, HERA was diagnosed with something called Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex. While it's not super common, HERA'S foster mom actually has a personal cat with this condition, so she has a lot of experience with it. Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex is caused by an allergy and is easily maintained with periodic cortisone injections when she has a flareup, so she will need a special that is willing to continue the cortisone injections as needed. It is not life threatening and cannot be passed on to other cats, dogs, or people.

HERA is truly an amazing cat with an over the top personality. She is now ready to live the luxurious life of a pampered house cat. Please consider giving this wonderful cat the home that she deserves!

Anyone interested in our cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. To fill out an application on line, just go to www.furryfriendsanimalrescue.org and click on the Adoption Application link. All our cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. We do ask for a $140 adoption donation.

Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.FurryFriendsAnimalRescue.org and look under HOW TO HELP. Furry Friends provides veterinary care - you provide the home and love!.

We also need Volunteers for Adoption Events at Petsmart and Cage Cleaners.
