Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dixie is about 1 year old and 32 lbs. This sweet girl was living as one of the 200,000 to 400,000 stray dogs on the Navajo reservation where she'd scavange for food and water. She was gathered up in a sweep by Navajo Nation Animal Control and pulled from one of their holding facilities. She now gets healthy meals, has a warm bed to sleep on, and is adapting to her new life as a family member. She has not shown any signs she had a home before as everything is brand new to her. She is shy, polite, easy going, loves playing with other dogs, and really appreciates being loved by people. She's a first rate tail wagger and will wag her tail for even the simple things of hearing your voice or you walk in the room. She has requested a family that will let her cuddle with them in bed and on the couch. She also would like a playmate. The perfect family will understand that she is timid and lacks some self-confidence.
