Meet Nellie! She is a one-year-old 35lb cattle dog mix. Nellie was pulled from a high kill shelter and has been with us for about a month now. Nellie is very shy and cautious of new people, but bonds tremendously with her person. She will need someone that is patient and will allow her time to get comfortable in her new surroundings. Nellie has been great with other dogs, both large & small and also did good when tested with our dog savvy cats. She is leash trained, house trained, and crate trained. Nellie is low to medium energy and is happy with a walk and some yard play. She loves being with her person and would love to have someone that is home with her most of the day. Nellie has met several kids and has been fine with them, but would prefer a quiet home so we will be placing her in an adult only home. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated, on Bravecto and tested negative for heartworm.
Please no apartments, condos, or mobile home parks. A home check is required. Yolo County adopters preferred, but will consider other locations. If you are more than 100 miles away from Yolo County please be aware that there may be a small additional expense associated with travel cost.
If you are interested in meeting Nellie, email us and we will send you an adoption application. (include your location in the email) The adoption fee for Nellie is $400.
*Vetting includes: Neuter/spay, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test, flea preventative, heart worm preventative (including the remainder of their 6-month supply), and any other necessary vet care.
