Rosie, a beautiful, fun-loving lab retriever/aussie shepherd mix, has found herself homeless after her family lost their home and are no longer able to provide for her.
In spite of losing her home and family, she continues to be a sweet, calm, well-mannered dog; very mellow and friendly with children. She will allow you to approach and pet (and kiss!) easily. Her family describe her as a “couch potato”.
While being a calm soul, she also has a great sense of play. She is always ready for a good time whether that be a morning walk or an afternoon swim or hike. She's ready! Car rides? Oh, yes.
She's happy spending the day shopping all the best doggy boutiques or grunging it up at the local hardware store. Her leash manners are good. She ignores the barking dogs, sniffs the friendly ones and stays by your side in stores. She might sometimes whine as she passes other friendly dogs because she just wants to play!!!
She gets along with all people, dogs and even her feline foster siblings.
The vet reports that she is in great health although a big overweight. Her foster Mom calls her a “gorgeous plus-size model”!. Her new family will need to be diligent about providing good exercise and quality food in reasonable portions to ensure she gets back down to a healthy weight.
From her foster Mom: "Rosie is an amazingly sweet lovebug who will make a great companion and be an awesome partner in all of your adventures. Please give this deserving young lady an amazing forever home".
Rosie is approximately 6.5 years old, spayed, current on vaccines, and micro-chipped.
Please note that we do not adopt animal companions out to homes that show signs of indoor smoking. We require adoptive homes to have fully fenced backyards. All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. Adoption fee $125.
