My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Hello! My name is KELLY! I’m one of the special-needs pets up for adoption at CompAnimals. I am living with FIV. I am only 6 years old and have a long and wonderful life ahead of me but I should be the only cat or with another FIV cat. Other than that, I am purr-fect! I was living with a nice family who loved me very much but their living situation changed so I came here. Please pass the word that I am looking for a home for the holidays. Thank you & meow!”

Kelly is approx 6 years old and has been spayed & vaccinated. She was overwhelmed at first when arriving in our cat room where she resides in a separate cage. She has settled in now and is quite friendly but will need adequate time to decompress in her new home. Adoption $25. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org to make Kelly part of your family.

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
