My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wiglet is the single surviving kitten out of a litter. She was only 5 days old when she was found. She was lovingly bottle-fed. For a long while, we were not sure that she would be strong enough to survive, but she has tremendous will power.

Wiglet has matured into a very, very, energetic talkative youngster with variety of trills that make her sound more like a bird than a cat. We have no idea how she can make some of the trills that she does. She has a stunning almost pinkish cream champagne colored short hair coat with lovely ghost spots. It’s hard to explain and even harder to photograph well.

Our vet believes that Wiglet may have some Bengal in her based on her coat pattern and overall behavior. She hates being alone and craves interaction with people and other cats but wants this on her own terms. She is NOT a lap cat or cuddle kitty and does not want to be held or restrained. She is NOT a candidate for leash training and would not tolerate a harness being put on her. She would not be good around small children and really needs an experienced cat owner. She loves to play with other cats (especially the large cats), but she plays hard and has no sense of fear. While other kittens are afraid, Wiglet has no problem playing with our 16 pound alpha male cat and she is only a fraction of his size. She needs an equally energetic playmate as she would overwhelm a shy or mellow cat. She would pair well with another Bengal or Bengal mix or large cat. She might be a good companion for a home with a cat friendly dog as she is not afraid of any animal larger than she is. While we do not think she will be afraid of a dog, we do not think that she would actively seek out a dog to play with. She does need a home with another cat as a wrestle buddy because she is social with other cats.

Wiglet is approximately 9-10 months old. She has been fixed and microchipped. She uses the litter box without fail. She has been seen by our Vet and is healthy. She has been de-flead, de-wormed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and had her first shots.

If you have questions and/or would like to set-up a time to visit and adopt her, please send me an e-mail with your contact info. There is a tax-deductible adoption donation which will go to Forsaken Cats Rescue, a local 501c3 charity.

Thank You,
