FOSTER UPDATE 3/22/20:
"Hi! Autumn here--I have been with my foster family for a week now. I feel pretty comfortable with my foster Mom and Dad and my tiny dog sister, Ellie. The cats may take a while to get used to me but I don't mind them. I love to cuddle and lay on Mom's feet. I have this great back yard to chase squirrels and a tennis ball. I go for a walk every day and I'm getting better every day at walking nicely with my head up, staying next to Mom, and not pulling on the leash. Today I crept into my foster sister Ellie's bed even though it was too small; it was just so cozy! Ellie doesn't mind sharing it with me. I'm learning my manners and would love to find my forever home with someone who loves to cuddle. Also someone who will rub my back, belly, and head and gently pet my ears. Will you be my new family??"
MEET AUTUMN!! This sweet 2 year old lab/hound mix girl has been on quite the journey. Autumn and her puppies came to us from a shelter a few months ago after another rescue did not come through for them. All of Autumn's puppies have been adopted, and now it's her turn to find her forever family. Autumn is a super sweet girl with a heart of gold. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, and she has done great with all the people she's met so far. Autumn appears to be crate trained and has been working on some basic commands, though she is still learning. She does need to be fed separately from other dogs, as she has shown some guarding behaviors around her bowl. Autumn would also do best in a home without any other small furry critters, like rabbits, and she has shown us that she has a high prey drive. Autumn is a cuddly girl and would love nothing more than to be able to curl up on the couch or the bed with her people. It's time for her to get to experience what the good life is all about!
