RUGER IS ON MEDICAL HOLD
Ruger is a Black 2 year old male with natural ears. This dog will make you laugh and smile. Ruger came into rescue as an owner surrender to a shelter. Ruger quickly became the shelter favorite due to his goofy personality. He has been neutered and tail amputated due to a NASTY infected tail that was never treated. He also had a mass on his foot that was removed. He still has cherry eye and that will need to get fixed once he recovers from this round of treatment. Ruger has tested positive for Lymes. We do not know if this was prior exposure or not so he has undergone a month of treatment for it. Adopters will need to be aware he will continue to test positive for many years. As long as the numbers are going down as expected then there is no cause for alarm.
Ruger has not been formally dog tested and will be in the near future once he is allowed to play. He is fine with older kids but no history of toddlers so he will not be placed with any. He is good (but curious) with cats and even a chinchilla. Ruger rides wonderfully in the car and is a huge kisser and leaner. He is truly a care-free mush face needing a little structure and a firm hand. Ruger is a puppy so will be adopted with a training addendum once medically cleared. Ruger came to MAGDRL in December 2019. (5)
