Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We fell in love with Fava when we first met him. It's a little hard to describe, but something about his blonde hair and bashful expression reminded us of Chet's (my husband's) school portrait from Kindergarten. Fava, who was rescued from a feral colony this fall when he was already more than a month old, remained a bashful boy for quite a while. He'd purr a little when we held him in our laps, but he kept thinking he wasn't supposed to like it. But then, around Christmas, he gave in to our charms. Now, the mere sight of us sets his motor running, and he'll keep it going for hours. Fava loves nothing more than to sit with us, sleep on us and play with us. Unlike Chet, Fava will surely remain a real heart-breaker his whole life. Now that he's found his confidence around people, we think he'll make an ideal companion, playful pal and cuddle buddy for whoever adopts him.
Fava has spent plenty of time with other cats, but his lovable personality didn't really emerge until he had to deal with us one on one. For this reason, we think he might do better in a house that doesn't have multiple cats already. If you have big or a dog, we'd recommend a slow break-in period. We're guessing he was born in early September.
