Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE: PENDING ADOPTION!
Holly is a beautiful 10 year old female salt and pepper mini schnauzer. She came to us from a very loving home where her previous owner could no longer take care of her due to health reasons.
She is laid back, a couch potato, and a lapdog. She doesn't play with toys but loves to sleep with her stuffed giraffe. Holly is nervous and scared in new situations and meeting new people, but friendly once she gets to know visitors.
Holly is looking for a quiet home with someone who is home during the day. A home without children would be best for Holly. She doesn't bark much so would be good with condo living. Holly doesn't seem to interact with other dogs so would be OK with another dog as long as they aren't looking for a friend to play with.
If you would like to be considered to adopt Holly, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered.
Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees.
We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and southern Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications within a reasonable driving distance of our areas of coverage, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and eastern West Virginia. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Holly's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!
