My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mattie came into rescue from an elderly lady who kept her crated all the time. When she let her out of the crate she would potty in the house because she did not take her out. The lady's son would beat her for that. She is careful about who she likes and who she does not like. She will bark excessively at people who knock on the door. She is house trained and does not like to soil in her crate. If she has to wait too long to be let out, she will back up to poop outside her crate through the bars on the door. She is on a schedule. We feed her twice a day. She loves, loves, loves to play with Jerry, another dog in the rescue and Opal, one of the resident dogs. She will chase a cat if a cat runs. She has been living in a house with two cats and the only time there is an issue is when the cat runs. She loves to lay on the back of the sofa and she spends her days in the office with the rescue director, who loves this dog. She also loves attention and sleeps in bed with her foster mom. She does not like kids. She barks all the time at them. Mattie has been spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped so she is ready to go! We did a DNA test on Mattie and she came back as miniature poodle/shih tzu/chihuahua mix.
