My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor misunderstood Tillie. We couldn't quite figure her breed, placed her in the wrong home, and she was returned. After consulting with our trainer and having her work with Tillie, we've found that this dog is SUPER intelligent with a strong work ethic and energy level. She's most likely a mix of Australian Shepherd... one of those "super dogs" seen frequently on TV, running agility courses, performing unbelievable tricks. Our trainer notes that Tillie is a quick learner, but has loads of energy and intelligence that will mean we need to find her a home where she'll be able to use it.
We're looking for a family who is already involved with agility, or a single person who's willing to commit the time and energy at training Tillie and giving her a "job" for both her mind and her body. Dogs with this intelligence and stamina need a "job" or they typically will be unhappy and look for things to keep themselves busy.
Almost a year old, weighing just about 40-lbs, this is a beautiful dog who will bond quickly to her new owner. Tillie is housetrained, knows "sit, down, off, shake". Because her happiness is our goal, Tillie will go to her new adopter with a free session with our trainer. If you'd like to meet her, please complete and return our pre-adoption application so we can know a little bit about the home you'll provide.
Applications will be emailed upon request to

This dog is spayed, microchipped, up to date on immunizations, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. We're just looking for a good home for Tillie. Adoption fee is a donation to our rescue.

Please note we do not have a shelter we are strictly a foster based rescue. Our pups/dogs are all in foster homes that volunteer their time and patience. Tillie is here in MA and ready to meet her new family. Please see our main web page for info about our adoption process and what's included. We like to keep our adoptions local; we do not ship our dogs. We are looking for adopters in New England.

--------------------------------------
DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION unless you are ready to take this dog home. We cannot hold dogs while you go on vacation or a business trip or prepare your home. Our dogs are being cared for in private homes by volunteer foster families. Appointments to see our dogs are scheduled once an application has been submitted and approved by our adoption counselors.

** PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee breed or full-grown adult size of all our rescue dogs. Because these dogs are rescued from shelters, we do not know exact background and only list breed and size by our best knowledge. If exact breed and size are important to you, please look elsewhere. We want our dogs to be adopted by people who will love and care for them forever - no matter what breed and size they turn out to be! **
