Sometimes I act really timid in new situations but as I get comfortable, I become a little more bold. This leash thing is very new to me and even when I wear a harness, I am not sure I want to follow you. Often I just lay down and then maybe crawl a little ways but then again, I start feeling a little more confident and will walk for a ways along with you.
I get along just great with other dogs and like to play with doggie toys. I go outside into a fenced yard and do my business. If you don't have a fenced yard, I think it will take me a while to go potty outside on a leash so I might have accidents in the house.
Since I was a unclaimed stray in a shelter, there isn't any information on whether or not I get along with cats or really small children. When I meet children at the adoption events, I am just as shy with them as I am with adults but I am not more scared of them.
I was in a lot of pain when I came to the shelter but I had surgery and am all healed up and ready for adoption. You read about my surgery

Our adoption fee for dogs that are not seniors is $250. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm.
Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
