Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mark is a 4-year-old neutered male black lab. Mark weighs 62 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Mark was a stray to an area shelter. He had to belong to someone because he came in already neutered. He is a very sweet boy who does need some vittles. He was a little nervous on the ride to his foster home but he settled down well and rode like a dream. He pulls a little on his lead but is manageable and, with training, that shouldn't be an issue. It truly is hard to believe that no one came looking for him because he loves attention and will melt in your lap when you love on him.
Mark is very food motivated and is learning that you have to wait your turn for treats. Initially he was all over the gang and his foster sister, Reese, let him know that this is not how we do it here. He took that correction well and is starting to realize "sit" will be rewarded with a yummy snack.
Mark did have a few accidents on the first day but since then, there haven't been any. He just had to figure things out and settle in as he has been able to decompress some. He sleeps well in the crate even though he needs a little push to go in.
Mark is good with other dogs, unknown with cats (although he paid no mind to the vet kitties) and approved for kids 10 and up. He is now approved for townhomes!
UPDATE: Mark's Magic: *Poof* I have transformed from a stray to a boy who loves to be inside with my foster family who love on me, keeps me warm and dry, lets me sleep on all the beds, feeds me, and keeps me safe! Best magic trick ever! Well, until I find the right forever family that will make that magic permanent.
So, I love attention and I will push my way to get it. I just love people! I'm a happy go lucky guy who is extremely food motivated and keeps a waggy tail. I sleep well in a crate and I'm getting better at going in since I get fed there.
I'm in Lynchburg waiting for my perfect family to find me. Call your Adoption Coordinator if you think I might be your one!
Love,
Mark
