Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I found Cheddar at a local Dollar General during the heat of summer. She had been dumped and was hot and hungry. Cheddar is a beautiful, but stereotypical temperamental calico girl. She is very vocal, so its easy to asses her mood. Cheddar loves to argue and is sometimes gripy and complaining when she knows she isn't going to get her way. she is very clever and understands a lot of spoken words. Now for the positive, if Cheddar were to be the only cat in an adult household, she would be a very engaging and interesting companion to spar with. She has a terrible weakness for cheddar and can hear me pick up a wrapped slice of Tillimook cheddar a 100 feet away and be on me in an instant. She campaigns relentlessly for her share of the slice. She even knows what time of the evening I should be trying to sneak it out of the fridge. If I'm late, she reminds me its time by sitting right in front of me like a bird dog and often will sit so pretty and loving in my lap. Cheddar can be a challenge, but with someone with the right attitude and patience will love this silly calico girl.
C.A.T. Rescue is not a shelter, we are foster based. We showcase our adoptable pets at adoption events most weekends at many locations such as PetSmart Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels. Tractor Supply Bulverde, Earth Angels San Marcos, etc. Visit and like our Facebook page for event schedules or contact us at CatAlliesofTexas@gmail.com.
Cat Allies of Texas Rescues' mission is focused on cats of Comal county. Our vision is to keep cats out of shelters, place adoptable cats and kittens in a home, reduce stray and feral populations through TNR. Help colony caregivers manage and care for their cats. C.A.T. Rescue will offer, when possible, humane assistance to all animals in need.
