My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Risotto is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH), male, DOB: 7/14/19.
Risotto is a jump-right-in, ask-questions-later kind of cat. Animated and highly social, this endearing young guy is enthusiastic (about everything). Friendly and carefree with little awareness of possible dangers in the world, Risotto won’t hesitate to initiate and welcome quick friendships with any and all. He’s a sincere, extremely affectionate and entirely engaging character, a purr machine when being pet and spoken to.
Risotto is fearless and sometimes even brash, an upbeat and joyously cheerful young cat – ever on the prowl to make playthings of whatever seems to be available in his environment. He really enjoys his toys and will happily play on his own with them, but one of his favorite activities is interactive play – with fellow felines and/or favored humans. Being that he is still a young cat who is curiously active and looking for adventure means this handsome boy will need family members who want to share and provide him with the time, attention, and vigorous interactive play activities he will need and thrive with.
Risotto along with siblings, Potluck, Casserole, Bisque, and Gnocchi, were all born to Kitty Pryde, a young, inexperienced, and not very social mom who came to us pregnant from Monroe County Animal Control. Risotto and his feline family members have received preventative treatments for fleas, worms, and other intestinal parasites.
A healthy, happy, and extremely friendly kitten, Risotto is looking for a forever family who’s willing to give him the time and attention a young cat needs to continue to grow into a social and confident young cat. We recommend a paired-adoption with his littermate Gnocchi, although a pairing with several of our other kittens having compatible personalities and temperament might also be a good fit.
Risotto is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.
Risotto currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet him by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.
All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
