Hi, my name is Maci! I am an 11-year-old, spayed, gray Weimaraner. Sophie is my companion and is an 8-year-old, spayed, black Lab. We are real buddies who love to be together. I am very dependent upon Sophie and follow her everywhere, so we must find an adoptive home where we can stay together.
We are both laid back and affectionate girls who love people! We have been around kids under 5 years old with no issues. We are also friendly with other dogs and cats. I hear the cat thing is a real plus! Our owner moved to a new home that won’t work for big dogs like us, so we are hoping to find a family who will let us both come live with them forever. We are both spayed, current on shots, and heartworm negative and started on prevention and have had lab work completed, which looked good.
Our foster mom says we are great gals. We are housebroken but aren’t fond of going out in the rain! We don’t bark to go out, but just wag our tails and happily wait for you to let us out. During the day we stay in the kitchen/laundry area and sleep on the couch in the laundry room. We are not destructive or get into anything. We haven’t counter surfed yet either! At night, we sleep on either end of the sofa. We are good girls who are quiet and sleep through the night.
Our favorite things are sitting on the sofa with the humans. We absolutely love car rides. I, Maci, am the quiet one. I do not bark, but I will make noises when I am trying to play with Sophie. I also know how to sit and shake. I am very gentle when taking food or treats. I do like to lean on you so you will love on me. Sophie is very happy and outgoing. Her whole butt wiggles when she wags her tail. She likes to talk to you when she is excited. She will bark at strange sounds and the dog next door. She loves balls and she knows how to sit. She is also gentle when taking food or treats. We were not trained on the leash when we were with our other family, so we will need work on this.
