Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Toro! This handsome 12.5 year old adorable tuxedo Pomeranian was surrendered to a local shelter after his owner passed away. After suffering the loss of his beloved owner, the last thing he needed to be was homeless! So, we happily scooped up this cutie!
Toro LOVES people and wants nothing more in life than to be cuddled up next to somebody...okay that's not totally true. He also wants FOOD! He loves to eat. He is completely toothless, but has no problem gobbling up soft food.
Toro recently visited the vet. He had senior bloodwork and a full exam. He is microchipped and up to date on shots. He recently had a consultation with a cardiologist and an echocardiogram. He has a grade 3 heart murmur and a leaky valve and does not require heart medications at this time. What he does require are pets, cuddles and scratches!!
He is currently living in a home with many other dogs and tolerates small dogs quite well (except for at feeding time) but is not a fan at all of larger dogs. His little man attitude comes out with a growl and a big man standoff stance towards large dogs. He is completely harmless since he does not have any teeth, but another dog may take offense towards this behavior so we think he'd do better in a home with other small pups. Toro is great at the vet and was well behaved for his grooming. He often is out and about in public with his foster family and is remarkably quiet and calm. He's a great little travel buddy!
Toro is doing well with potty habits as long as he is taken out on a consistent basis. He loves to curl up on a cozy bed and will sleep through the night without a peep. But come morning he will let you know that he wants love and food!
If you are interested in Toro, please complete an application which can be found at www.seniordoghaven.org. Any questions can be sent to info@seniordoghaven.org.
Please note because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to schedule a meet until we receive a completed adoption application. We do often have adoption events. Please reach out for upcoming dates!
