Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue adopts to qualified homes in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
Sugar, or as her foster mom likes to call her Sugar Pie, came into rescue after being seized by animal control from a farm where she was tied outside in a muddy lot to starve. 2 Danes were rescued that day. Heidi is also with our rescue. Sugar is a very smart girl. She knows sit and is crate trained. She is working on patience when she is being fed. This is a hard concept since she was starved. She is very much a puppy. She loves to play fetch and is learning how to play with other Danes.

Sugar is fearful of new people. It took her about 15-20 minutes to warm up to me and a lot of treats. She will need socializing while in rescue. She also is approximately 10-20 underweight. When She gains the necessary weight, she will receive all her medical needs before adoption. She will be available in January.
