Stella is half-dog, half-meatball, but also somehow 100% angel. She is completely satisfied curling up like a bean on the couch to watch The Great British Baking Show, but will perk right up at the sound of her leash taken off its hook. Walk through the neighborhood with her at your side and you're sure to have everyone stop and admire her strong, thick stature and eagerness for kisses. However, nothing gets her doing little doggy-backflips quicker than the promise of a treat and a belly-rub after said treat. Stella is very well house-trained, never had a single accident in any of her foster homes. She is well-behaved with other dogs (given there's no food around to fight over; she must be separated when fed). One of her favorite activities includes staring at you while you eat a meal, hoping for just a bite. Stella has the instincts of Julie Andrews, the face of Danny DeVito, the appetite of Guy Fieri, and the heart of Mother Teresa. This girl is truly one of a kind and her forever family will be so lucky to call her their own.

STELLA is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations.
Her $490 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area after she is officially adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our Nashville, Knoxville and some New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com). We also use Pet Express Tupelo (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com/). For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
