Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Slash. poodle cross 5 years old Good morning NOBARS family. This is Slash and he is getting ready to meet his family. Slash is an adult poodle mix and just about everyone that meets him is susceptible to his wily good looks and charm. They instantaneously adore and fall madly in love because he is just that nice of a boy and is as sweet as the day is long. He is great with other dogs, easy going with adult humans and loves his walks. He is a sniffer and will saunter his way along his normal walk path sniffing to see who has been there before him. He is never in any great hurry, so if you are looking for an easy walker to and from the mailbox, Slash just might be your man. Being an adult means that you won't have to endure puppy antics which could include, hiding your slippers, eating anything left on the coffee table, passing out in a pile of toys, looking for escape routes that even the most notorious of comic book criminals would be amazed at, But word of caution, he will steal your heart. If there is one negative for our boy Slash, it is that he is not a fan of little kids. Nope, does not trust the quick movers at all. He does not mind the "teenager don't give a care kind", but the wee ones, not so much. Slash is looking for a home in Alberta. No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS)
We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
