My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scarlett is such a sweet girl. She is full of energy, playful and just loves people! This 70 lb girl will climb right up on your chair or hammock with you like she's a little lap dog. Lol She is so smart and loves to go for car rides. In true Scarlett O’Hara fashion, she doesn’t share well with the ladies, but she is pretty good with the boys. So, this lady needs to be the only female in her forever home and would due best with older kids due to her size. She was rescued from a shelter, facing certain death. She is thriving and past ready to become a part of your family!

If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays with many of our adoptable dogs there.

Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority & can usually take home your new best friend the same day!

*Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.*

**All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue.
