Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
MELLOW was left behind with 2 other Jack Russells when his Dad became very ill and went to hospice and never returned. ROCKY and MELLO are brothers and are very attached to each other. It would be great if they could be together, but not necessary. They are about 9 -10 yrs old and about 20 lbs (they could stand to loose a few lbs!) The third dog is HANK - he is MELLOW and ROCKY'S Dad. He is 15 yrs old and is just as happy to be separated from the younger 2. They are all 3 friendly with each other and have been friendly with all dogs at the foster home. MELLOW is neutered and all up to date on their vaccines. Please give them a chance to be in a loving home again. Please contact us if you have any questions. If you are interested in these boys please follow the directions below to apply to adopt. to------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TO BE CONSIDERED TO ADOPT A DOG FROM ALMOST HOME RESCUE YOU MUST FIRST COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION. PLEASE READ!
1. Jack Russell Terriers need homes with a secure fence. Underground fencing is NOT safe for a Jack Russell.
2. Jack Russell terriers are bred to be hunting dogs and are not suited to apartment or condo life. The hunting instincts and prey drive cannot be trained out of these terriers and they will stay active in this way all their lives.
3. We do not adopt Jack Russell Terriers to families withe small children (under 6) as terriers are not patient with the antics of a small toddler.
4. Jack Russell Terriers can not safely coexist in a home with cats, birds, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, etc, as terriers were bred to hunt and can kill small animals. They are hunters and they never give up.
5. Please keep an open mind and consider your lifestyle both today and 10 years from now before you apply for a dog that may not be a good fit for the long run.
