Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meeko is a handsome, red, cream, & white Siberian Husky. The vet thinks he is roughly between 2-3 years old based on his most recent visit. He is very sweet and affectionate, playful, expressive, and just overall, a big goofball. He would be very happy with other dogs to play with and, no surprise given he is a husky, LOVES walks and going on runs.He currently shares a house with a foster home that has 2 dogs and he is very social. We have no idea how he would do in a house with cats, so any homes that have a cat would need to need to have some supervised visits first.Meeko received his clean bill of health (heartworm free!), vaccinations, neuter, and chip. He is now cleared to adopt after fully recovering from his procedure.Meeko came to us from being outdoors at all times and always escaping. We don’t have too much info about his previous life, but there will be some things that adopting parents should consider given that he is still adjusting to life inside.Being that Meeko was confined to a yard outside, with little stimulation for hours at a time,he would get bored and made a habit of escaping. Unfortunately, he has also performed these magic tricks with his foster family as well. So for his safety, any homes considered for adoption would need strong, high fenced yard if he is intended to be let off leash outside. If the adopting family intends to provide his daily walks on leash (for their own exercise also or because they don’t have a yard), that would be an acceptable alternative. Huskies are an active breed and should be getting a lot of daily exercise.Since being fostered, Meeko has been improving every day and is a much happier boy. He is now fully crate trained, and does great on a leash as well.
