Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read the entire post in order to understand our adoption process...
Xena is in foster care in East Tennessee and will be transported to New England upon adoption .Transport is via Alpha Dog Transport. They charge $140 and hand off all vet records when your pup is claimed. They have stops in CT or VT. An adoption fee will also apply. She is available to transport 12/14/19. The delay is due to vaccination requirements by the transport company.
Please NO apartments or condos.
No children under the age of 12
In order to properly housebreak a pup, it should not be left alone over 4 hrs.
Need a go anywhere, do anything, best buddy? Xena is your girl! Xena is a 4-5 month old, 20 pound, bundle of joyful energy who loves playing ball, tug of war, long walks, zoomies, riding in the car, and just about anything you can think of. She would make a great companion for an active, outdoorsy, person/family or for someone interested in obedience/agility. She is incredibly athletic and learns quickly. At her first training session with a very famous dog trainer who generously donates time to help rescue dogs, she commented that Xena was a very smart and talented pup. Awesome compliment for a throwaway rescue pup…Go Xena!!
Xena was an owner surrender at a local kill shelter and we were lucky enough to snag her before the grim reaper got her. Based on her looks and behavior, we believe she’s a terrier mix (perhaps JRT or Feist). She’s doing very well with potty and crate training, and currently sleeps snuggled in bed with her foster family (but she will also do fine in her crate in a pinch). Xena loves her peeps, other dogs, and cuddling on the couch. She plays well with other dogs and would love a similar size/energy sibling but could be a bit much for very small/elderly dogs/cats.
Xena is heartworm negative, UTD on shots, spayed, microchipped, and on HW preventative. And did we mention she’s a cutie pie?!
