The sweetest kid we've seen in a long time, Copper walked up to the home of an individual and decided that he was tired of wandering. Thin, with an uncomfortable skin condition, this boy waited patiently on their porch each day for a meal and some attention. He was quiet and sweet and unassuming and we just felt a pang in our hearts. Once he entered a foster home, he made friends quickly with the bed, gained 8 lbs, and after a vet visit, his skin is on the mend. Copper is low key, very patient and calm with other dogs, although he doesn't like to share food, and house trained. This boy deserves a spot in the sunshine and a family to give him the kind of quiet devoted companionship that he is sure to give them. We think he is middle aged, but it is difficult to say for sure when it appears they've had a harder life. He likes to take walks and still romp a bit with other dogs, so plenty of pep in his step!
Note: 6 foot fencing and yard supervision needed. This boy can jump! He can be adopted to a home that will leash walk exclusively for bathroom breaks and exercise.
