Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable puppy is Boba Lou. He is 11 months old and weighs in at only 6.3 pounds. This cute little Yorkie Mix is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL.
UPDATED BIO 12/06/2019: Boba Lou has been in his foster home for 4 weeks now and has acclimated extremely well. Foster Mom says that he is the most affectionate and loving puppy. He loves other dogs, older children and all adults! He is still a young puppy and is playful and full of energy all day long. Boba Lou loves to play with his toys and run and chase the resident senior yorkie in the home. She is 12 years old and doesn’t care to play as much as he does. Boba Lou loves attention so much that he will bite and nip to get it, and his foster parents are working on this unacceptable behavior so that he knows that is not a good thing.
Boba Lou has made great strides with his house-training – BONUS! He follows the other yorkie when she goes out and goes potty with her. He needs to always be on a leash for his safety as he gets distracted easily and will bolt if he sees something that may be interesting and he wants to check out. A fenced-in yard would be a plus; however Boba Lou - like all other dogs - should never be let out alone – always always his person needs to accompany him. As his house-training is on-going, he needs direction from his person or another dog to remind him why he is outside. He walks well on a leash and knows to do his business outside. He likes to be a good boy and receive praise and positive reinforcement from his person!
Boba Lou’s perfect home would be one with another dog close to his age and size that he can play with and learn from. Since he is still a young puppy, he needs lots of love and attention and many, many walks during the day to reinforce his house-training, so having a home where there is at least one stay-at-home parent would be preferred. Boba Lou is crated at night and during the day if his foster parents go out for a few hours. He likes his crate and goes in there for naps or play time.
Boba Lou would be fine with kids over the age of 12, but no younger due to his small size. He also needs a family that can promise him a lifetime commitment of being there for him for his lifetime of 15 or more years. Boba Lou needs one final home to call his forever home and one final family to be his forever family. If you have the time and patience, as well as the love to give this sweet boy, please fill out an adoption application for him. He will bring a lot of joy, companionship, love and laughter to his new family
INITIAL BIO 11/06/2019: Meet little Boba Lou. This little Yorkie mix boy is so full of life and love that he is having trouble learning some of his doggie manners. His former home was full of kids and activity and there was Boba Lou right in the middle of it.
Boba Lou is young, and like a puppy will do, he wants to play with every dog and cat he meets and unfortunately not every dog or cat wants to play with him. With so much going on in his former home, he had trouble figuring out where to do his business and thought the house was as good as any other place. With no one home most of the day, poor little Boba Lou had to be crated, and such a young small dog just couldn’t hold everything in and would mess in his crate. By the time everyone came home he was so happy to see them he couldn’t contain his excitement and would run all around the fenced backyard. When he finally settled down, he would come back inside and then decide it was time to do his business.
Boba Lou’s former owners tried everything they could to get him to learn proper doggie manners, but with so much going on and no one home all day, he couldn’t concentrate on what he needed to do. They knew he needed a calmer, quieter environment where he would get the attention he needed. Boba Lou would do best in a home with someone home most of the day who can take him out often. Someone who would understand he is still very young. He needs a patient, kind person to help him learn what he needs to learn to be a well-behaved little boy. He would love a fenced yard to run around in and an opportunity to play with other young active pups.
Boba Lou is loving and cuddly and loves everyone. He loves to curl up on your lap and stay there! He plays with his toys and loves to go for walks up and down the street! He just needs a little reinforcement on house house-training, but he is smart and is quickly catching on where he is supposed to do his business – and where he is not lol!
Boba Lou would be fine with kids over the age of 12, but no younger due to his small size. He also needs a family that can promise him a lifetime commitment of being there for him for his lifetime of maybe 15 or more years. Boba Lou needs one final home to call his forever home and one final family to be his forever family. If you have the time and patience, as well as the love to give this sweet boy, please fill out an adoption application for him. Boba Lou will be having his spa day soon. Wait until you see this beautiful puppy boy so come back soon for the big reveal.
